Tool Coating
The hardness, break resistance and corrosion resistance not only of the base material but also of the surface coating are key factors in deciding the quality and service life of a tabletting tool.
At our coating centre, we have dedicated ourselves to this issue over many years of high-end research and development. On the basis of these findings, today we are able to provide a diverse range of coatings with a microfine, near-non-porous surface finish. These coatings significantly increase operating life, as well as ensuring complete and effortless removal from the tool of even the most abrasive tabletting raw materials and those that have a tendency to adhere.

Summary
CRN
CRN is a chromium nitride coating that can be compared to a galvanised hard chrome coating in terms of its adhesion resistance. It has significantly greater wear resistance.
PLASMACHROM®
PLASMACHROM® is a coating far superior to a galvanised hard chrome coating. It has a very homogeneous structure and low pore density with very high adhesion resistance.
PLASMACHROM®plus
The diffusion-resistant PLASMACHROM®plus coating is a further development of the tried-and-tested PLASMACHROM® coating. In addition to high corrosion resistance, it offers a very good combination of hardness and adhesion resistance.
NOTURA®blue
NOTURA®blue is a very hard coating with a very smooth surface. Its adhesion resistance is comparable to a CRN coating but with much greater wear resistance.
NOTURA®black
NOTURA®black is a diffusion-resistant amorphous carbon coating. It is extremely resistant to chemical attacks, as well as combining low friction with good adhesion and wear resistance.
NOTURA®pharm
NOTURA®pharm is a ceramic coating specially designed for abrasive tabletting raw materials. Featuring as yet unrivalled surface quality, it is extremely resistant and has the best possible non-adhesive properties.
